FINAL Report – Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety
COA congratulates the Government and the Royal Commissioners on delivering the Final Report into Aged Care Quality and Safety. The Commission received 10,574 submissions, 6,800 telephone calls and heard from 641 witnesses at hearings. In their Final Report, the Royal Commissioners make 148 wide-ranging recommendations for the aged care system’s fundamental reform.
COA is ready and remains committed to delivering personalised, home-based care in collaboration with its stakeholders, including its network providers and clients. The significant reforms set out in the Royal Commission’s findings put older people in the centre of what we do, supporting more people in their own homes.
COA and its network providers currently deliver Regional Assessment Services through My Aged Care in NSW and Wellbeing in Aged Care programs in NSW and SA.
