National Close the Gap Day

National Close the Gap Day (NCTGD) Thursday, 18 March, is a national day of action to pledge support for achieving Indigenous health equality by 2030.
The Report, ‘Leadership & Legacy Through Crises: Keeping our Mob Safe’ – written by the Lowitja Institute – is a testament to the leadership shown by First Nations organisations and communities through the compounding crises of pandemic, climate change, mental health pressures and suicide prevention.
The launch will be an opportunity to hear from Close the Gap Campaign Co-Chairs June Oscar AO and Karl Briscoe, Minister for Indigenous Australians The Hon. Ken Wyatt AM MP, Janine Mohamed, CEO of Lowitja Institute and special guest Sir Michael Marmot, for a discussion of the report’s major findings.
